Frequently Asked Questions

What is the dress code for the Assembly?

The Assembly has a casual dress code, and we encourage attendees to wear what makes them comfortable and represents their individuality. However, clothing which has offensive, violent, or sexually explicit messages or images are not acceptable at the Assembly.

ASU’s Tempe Campus has weather in July which is typically sunny with temperatures ranging from the mid-90s to the mid-110s and low chance of rain. Please wear clothing that will keep you comfortable under these conditions, and check the weather forecast in case the Assembly dates will be unusually hot and to keep track of the monsoon. Additionally, we will primarily be getting between Assembly locations at ASU on foot, so be sure to also wear comfortable shoes.

Will meals be provided during the Assembly?

Yes, meals will be provided. We will be providing dinner on Thursday (7/10) and all meals on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (7/10–12).

Will there be Wi-Fi available at the venue?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi will be available for all attendees throughout the Assembly venue. Login details will be provided in your assembly packet.

What should I do if I have specific dietary restrictions?

If you did not provide your dietary restrictions during the registration process, or your dietary restrictions have changed, please contact the assembly planning team in advance so we can accommodate your needs.

What will the weather be like during the assembly?

During the time of the assembly you can expect hot temperatures in Tempe, ranging from lows of around 80°F (26.7°C) to highs of about 110°F (43.3°C). The weather is generally very dry, however there is the chance for a monsoon storm in the evenings. Monsoon storms occur when the dew point reaches 55-60°F (12.8-15.6°C). If a monsoon occurs the weather will change to a very windy thunderstorm, and it will likely rain.

What materials should I bring with me to the Assembly?

We encourage you to bring a refillable water bottle, notebook, pen, or any digital devices you might need for note-taking during presentations. Some sessions will involve digital polling so you should have a phone/tablet/laptop that can connect to Wi-Fi in order to participate, if possible.

We also recommend packing the following items:
