Code of Conduct

Our organization is committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment at all our events, whether they are in-person or virtual. We welcome participants from all walks of life, regardless of gender identity and expression, age, year in school, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or socio-economic background. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

Respectful Behavior

  1. Treat all participants with dignity and respect. Discrimination, derogatory remarks, and offensive language or actions are strictly prohibited.
  2. Refrain from engaging in any form of harassment, including but not limited to verbal, physical, or sexual harassment, both during the event and in any associated online platforms or communications.
  3. Avoid using sexual language, imagery, or gestures, as they are not appropriate for any event venue, including presentations, discussions, workshops, social gatherings, and online forums.

Responsibility and Professionalism

  1. Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the event, whether in-person or virtual.
  2. Refrain from consuming intoxicating substances during the event. This includes alcohol, drugs, or any other substances that may impair judgment. Such behavior is especially inappropriate considering the presence of underage participants and could jeopardize the funding and accessibility of our events.
  3. Adhere to the principle of “don’t yuck my yum.” Respect the interests, passions, and preferences of others, even if they differ from your own.

Enforcement

  1. Participants found violating these rules may face sanctions or expulsion from the event at the discretion of the event organizing team.
  2. Any concerns or questions regarding this code of conduct should be addressed to our Ombuds Team or event organizers.
  3. All participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the terms and conditions outlined in this code of conduct and to seek clarification if needed.
